3 Steps to Healing a Moment

How it began…

“A young professor held up a piece of paper with a small black circle in the middle of the page. He then asked his student what they saw. Their responses, all of them, were the same.  They all defined the black dot explaining its position in the center of the sheet of paper.

He said that the interesting thing was that the black dot made up only 1% of the page, while the remaining 99% was white. He commented saying this was so very much like our human nature – we tend to focus on the black dot instead of seeing all the white space around it.  We have a white piece of paper to observe and enjoy, but we choose to focus on the dark spots.” (author unknown)

Many of us experience pivotal moments that leave emotional wounds that can turn into a daily struggle. Left unchecked, they can linger for years, sometimes decades.  However dramatic these moments can be, they are in need of healing.  This pendant came from my own spirit crying out in brokenness, desperate to find understanding and healing in all the moments I’ve carried in my own life.

I pray this pendant is a reminder to ask God what has been holding you back, past and present, so you can move through these 3 steps to a place of healing and peace. Even if every question doesn’t resonate with you, allow them to be jumping points to your own exploration and reconciliation.

A Prayer for Your Launch:

Father, we ask that You be with us as we pursue healing.  Be our companion as we visit pivotal moments in our story to break free of any bondage they may have on us.  Holy Spirit, help us see clearly how God is redeeming our pain, our regrets, our loss.  Jesus, we know You don’t leave us.  Thank You for helping to move us through the challenging seasons in a broken world. Lord, we ask for insight, protection, wisdom and supernatural peace, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Clear Glass (Step 1: Insert Jesus):  Transparency is a step toward healing.  Jesus can handle it and will give you His strength.

Black dot (Step 2: Identify the Enemy): As you feel how small it is compared to the rest of the pendant, let it serve as a reminder that God’s love is always going to be bigger than any of these  bumps along the way.

Note: This is made of a mustard seed from Jerusalem.

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20)

White Glass (Step 3: Discover God’s Redemption):  In reconciliation, we are washed white as snow. (Isaiah 1:18)
